About

Josh Jakob was born and raised in New Dorp Beach, Staten Island, New York.  From an early age, he knew he loved architecture by discovering the ruins of buildings torn down by Robert Moses.

He received his architecture degree at the University of Buffalo, where he found inspiration in the city's abandoned grain elevators, the very same structures that caused Le Corbusier to exclaim "the first fruits of the modern age."

After completing his schoolwork in 2002, Josh Jakob went on to work for Steven Savino, EDI International, and Robert Leslie before heading to Austin, Texas to start his own architectural practice based on creating form inspired by the Hill Country.
