About

Josh Jakob was born and raised on Staten Island, New York.  From an early age, he knew he wanted to become an architect*.

He received his degree in architecture at the University of Buffalo, where he found inspiration in the city's abandoned grain elevators, the very same structures that caused Le Corbusier to exclaim "the first fruits of the modern age."

His began his professional career in NYC, where he honed his skills in architectural construction documentation.  He branched out in 2009, where he created J Jakob Design, and added architectural 3d visualization to his skill set. Since 2014, he has resided in Austin, Texas with his wife and two children.
